Advanced audio restoration and clean-up

There are many things that can spoil a recording, and sometimes you just have to work with what you've got. Fortunately, Lunartune has advanced restoration and clean-up techniques that can make a flawed recording sound good again, be it an analogue tape or record that has seen better days, or a field recording that is spoiled by background sounds or recording artefacts.

 

Common problems in field recordings include wind noise, traffic noise, microphone rumble, background sounds (e.g. a noisy baby or someone coughing), and inconsistent volume levels. These problems can, with a high degree of success, be fixed without affecting other sounds.

 

Lunartune can also repair flaws inherent in the recording itself, such as excessive noise (e.g. hiss or mains hum), undesirable dynamics or frequency response, phase problems, clicks and pops, and "brick-wall" distortion resulting from pre-amp overload or digital clipping.
